Dr Craig Russell

Biography

Craig was awarded an Agricultural Science degree and a PhD in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition from the University of Western Australia, and spent most of the time since as a university research scientist in Canada, the USA and Australia. Craig has worked on both agricultural and environmental projects and his research interests encompassed environmental biogeochemistry, with a particular interest in nitrogen, phosphorus and carbon. Dr Russell managed a university analytical facility at Albany, Western Australia, participated in agro-environmental research and assisted with undergraduate teaching.

Tragically, for his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, Dr Russell passed away 27th June 2019, after sustaining a massive heart attack. “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
